    Education

    I am a graduate of the FBI Command College, the FBI Academy, Montana State University (with a Bachelor of Science Degree).  I received extensive law enforcement and related training from the Montana Law Enforcement Academy, the Drug Enforcement Administration, U.S. Customs Service, the Institute of Police Technology and Management, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and numerous other local, state and federal and Canadian Agencies.

     Throughout my law enforcement career, I provided in-service training courses and presented other law enforcement related courses in Junior Colleges in Montana and numerous regional training seminars under the auspices of the Montana Law Enforcement Academy.  I provided seminars at many Montana locations, as well as in the states of Wyoming, Idaho, and North Dakota.  Topics of instruction included, but were not limited to:  interviewing, interrogation, report writing, crime scene investigation, crime scene searches and processing, evidence management, tactics, clandestine laboratories, search warrant preparation and execution, marijuana cultivation, ethics, surveillance techniques, testifying in court, firearms/use of force instruction.
